Barista + Roastery Production assistant

Location: September Roastery
Employment Type: 24-32 hours/week

Job Overview:

We are looking for a coffee professionals who are passionate about working as both a barista and working in a specialty driven coffee roastery environment. This Barista position is to operate as studio barista (roastery front of house cafe) and hospitality operations. You must be able to create a culture of hospitality and a welcome, and passionate atmosphere while maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, and a high standard of customer care. You would have the ability to understand or dial in a menu of single origin coffees from September's rotating offerings, and be expected to learn and educate customers on the story and context of specific coffees when possible. The Roastery Worker position is to assist in the roasting team where needed when not operating as a barista. You would primarily operate as an assistant to our Operations Manager. This is including but not limited to assisting the production team in packaging, order fulfilment logistics, and other roastery operations.

  • Great knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso drinks, pour overs, and café operations
